IPH were asked to attend 3 separate care home facilities who cater for the vulnerable to service their existing mist system as it was put in place by a competing distributor, who had then failed to turn up for the annual inspection.
IPH Were instructed to service all 29 water mist pumps at the earliest convenience. Additionally, due to the current pandemic, residents were spending more time within their apartments and the challenge was to provide a service to every system without coming into contact or further distressing the vulnerable residents while adhering to current Covid 19 guidelines.
We provided a very low cost and immediate solution to our client who was delighted we could be mobilised and attend their care home facility within days.
The engineer who attended the sites provided the IPH updated method/process statements firmly highlighting the necessary steps to facilitate this work (including provision of gloves, hand sanitiser, face wipes and mask, change of clothes where necessary, while adhering to social distancing guidance).
Mike Oldfield, Director of IPH Mist Suppression stated:
“We are delighted that the 29 services were completed and all remedial works were fixed within 4 days on site while adhering to current Government Covid 19 guidelines.
Our key worker processes, ensured we could deliver validated and certified reassurance to our client that each tenant was safe in the event of a possible fire.”
